Introducing The Monster Energy Ford Ranger

Back in October 2022, RestoMod gave you a sneak peek of the Monster Energy Ford Ranger giveaway build. Since then, we’ve been flooded with messages and emails from fans eager to see the final result and—more importantly—find out when it would be up for grabs. Well, the wait is finally over.

Entries are now closed, and the winner of this absolutely bad-ass machine will be announced on Monday, 06 February 2023. But before we hand over the keys, let’s take a look at what’s gone into creating this Monster.

Huge props go to the team at Performance Centre for turning a standard 2022 Ford Ranger Double Cab 2.0 Single Turbo Auto into something truly next-level. They started with a full Carlex Design body kit, which includes a front bumper embossed with the Carlex logo, gloss black front bumper covers, a bonnet lip, front and rear arch extensions, and a custom grille with a mesh inset. Rather than going all-out gloss, the team kept a rugged textured finish across most of the kit, leaving just two sections on the bumper painted in gloss to make them pop.

The Ranger now sits on aggressive 18-inch Carlex Design alloy wheels, wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain 265/60 R18 tyres. Underneath, it’s been treated to a full Ironman Foam Cell Comfort suspension upgrade, giving it a solid 40 to 50mm lift. Thanks to Fitment 4 Africa for the install—and yes, those Monster-green coil overs are as cool as they sound.

Inside, the audio setup is all Rockford Fosgate. The cab has been sound-deadened with Silent Coat material on the floor, doors, and rear panel. The sound system includes a DSR1 Sound Processor, premium mids and tweeters in the front doors, coaxial speakers in the rear, a 5-channel Class D amplifier, and a 10-inch Slimline woofer mounted in a custom Venter enclosure under the rear seat. To top it all off, green LED lighting brings some serious atmosphere to the cabin.

It’s not just about looks and sound, though. The Monster Ranger has been fitted with Ironman side rock sliders to handle serious off-road abuse, and a custom dual-pipe cat-back exhaust system that not only adds power but delivers the kind of throaty rumble you’d expect from a truck like this. And to keep with the theme, the front bumper is getting a green LED inlay that ties the whole build together perfectly.

This Ranger isn’t just a giveaway prize—it’s a showcase of what’s possible when top-tier brands and passionate builders come together. Stay tuned, because on 06 February, one lucky winner will be driving home in one of the wildest Ford Rangers on South African roads.
